Alison brings a wealth of pharmaceutical sales and marketing knowledge to the team, with over 25 years of experience gained in both pharmaceutical and agency roles. She is calm under pressure yet tenacious, always ensuring the best results for her clients – qualities she aims to instil in her team of account handlers.
Mark joined Porterhouse Medical bringing knowledge gained from his time in the pharmaceutical industry and medical/marketing communications agencies. With broad experience of developing strategic communication programmes across a variety of therapy areas, he is well-placed to support clients in designing and delivering effective programmes for their brands.
Emma has over 16 years of medical communications experience, following a background in clinical research. Her extensive experience of planning and implementing a variety of medical communications programmes, along with expert therapeutic knowledge (particularly in oncology and immunology), means she can offer strategic guidance and engaging, practical solutions. In her free time, Emma is a busy mum and enjoys spending time with her family and socialising.
Ian has a decade of agency experience in medical education and communications, on both the delivery and account management sides of the business. He is highly motivated and committed to working with his clients to identify and understand their challenges so that he and the team can supply exactly the right solution. Outside of work, Ian is kept busy with his two young sons and a lifelong love of sport in general (especially cycling).
Holding an MChem (Hons) in chemistry from the University of Manchester, Amanda joined Porterhouse Medical bringing 5 years of experience working across global, European and UK programmes in medical education and healthcare communications. Amanda has a wealth of experience facilitating communications between internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal outcomes for both healthcare professionals and patients.
Bringing together more than 5 years of experience in medical communications and an impressive history in marketing, advertising and PR, Gema has developed the creative flair and organisational skills necessary to excel in her role. When she is not working, Gema enjoys playing sports, going to the gym and travelling to exotic locations.
Sheila has a wealth of experience, having spent more than
25 years in event management specialising in healthcare, medical devices and pharmaceutical accounts. Her experience has encompassed all areas of logistics management for pharmaceutical events, including product launches, medical symposia, advisory boards and stand-alone meetings. Sheila has also worked in corporate branding and communications, and in design and booth development.
With a degree in PR and marketing, experience in digital marketing and a strong passion for events, Barbara brings a refreshing perspective to Porterhouse Medical. Having worked with a number of clients in the pharmaceutical industry, her knowledge and experience is a great asset to the team. In her free time, Barbara enjoys travelling, learning languages, and poetry.
Having gained medical education experience as part of an established pharmaceutical company, Sammy has brought his project management skills and industry insight to the accounts team of Porterhouse Medical. After surviving the daunting task of educating teenagers about biology as a science teacher, he is well-prepared to handle even the most off-the-wall questions fired at him. Outside of work, Sammy is a keen powerlifter and cyclist.
Tom has a strong academic background, having studied biomedical science at the University of Warwick prior to joining Porterhouse Medical. He has a desire to learn and take on new challenges, and is a hard-working and energetic member of Porterhouse. Outside of work, Tom enjoys sport, reading and a wide range of outdoor activities.
Nina graduated from the University of Bath in 2016 with a degree in biochemistry. Her work experience in the pharmaceutical industry and her passion for healthcare led her to medical communications. An enthusiastic and personable individual, she endeavours to create strong client relationships. Nina has a lifelong love of gymnastics and also enjoys travelling.
Rebecca studied biological sciences at the University of Birmingham before joining Porterhouse Medical. An adaptable individual with a positive and hard-working attitude, she is always up for a challenge. Outside of work, Rebecca has a keen interest in theatre, film, travel and cooking.
Rebecca graduated from the University of Exeter with a biological sciences degree in 2014. Before joining Porterhouse Medical, she was part of a customer service team, which, along with her passion for science, led her to medical communications. She is hard-working and committed to providing excellent client service. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys travelling and baking.
Alice graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in psychology in 2013. Prior to joining Porterhouse Medical, Alice worked in clinical research in the NHS. This involved working in various medical areas, including neurology and rare renal diseases, as well as organising symposia and fostering links to promote research. In her spare time, Alice enjoys skiing, playing board games and going to the theatre.
Harry graduated from the University of Exeter in 2013 with a degree in ethology, and completed an MRes in evolutionary biology at the University of Bath in 2014. He previously coordinated a volunteering scheme aimed at encouraging young people to consider a career in science. Harry has a passion for science and a keen interest in photography, fitness and ski racing.
Emily graduated from the University of Southampton in 2016 with a degree in biomedical science. She loves embracing new challenges and is committed to and enthusiastic about all she does. Emily enjoys playing several sports in her free time, including football, badminton and korfball, and has a passion for travel. She also loves animals and has a ginger cat and two rabbits.
